Pretty straightforward: husband (Johannes Meyer of Dreyer&#8217;s <em>Leaves From Satan&#8217;s Book<\/em>) has become a tyrant, mistreating his kids, disrespecting his nana (Mathilde Nielsen of <em>The Parson&#8217;s Widow<\/em>), and driving his wife (Astrid Holm, dying woman in <em><a href=\"\/journal\/archives\/6816\">The Phantom Carriage<\/a><\/em>) away to her mother&#8217;s to recuperate.  Now he has to run the house without his wife&#8217;s help, learning to appreciate all that she regularly does for the family.<\/p>\n<p>Katy and I haven&#8217;t <a href=\"https:\/\/cinenthusiast.wordpress.com\/2015\/07\/07\/what-ill-remember-about-the-films-of-1925-a-love-letter\/\">extensively studied<\/a> the cinema of 1925 so we had little to say, style-wise, and I saw little in common with the later Dreyer films I&#8217;ve watched.  Mostly it seemed a well-assembled showcase for great performances by the husband and nana.
