Before any monsters appear, the underwater base already looks crappy, run down with flickering lights, clear <em><a href=\"\/journal\/archives\/10221\">Alien<\/a><\/em> influence.  Eubank also made <em>The Signal<\/em>, which I heard was bad.<\/p>\n<p><em>Captain Cassel:<\/em><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/journal\/image20\/underwater1.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Disaster in the deepwater drilling base, Kristen Stewart has to do that movie thing where she closes the blast doors because her coworkers won&#8217;t make it through in time.  Mamoudou Athie (the punk recluse of <em><a href=\"\/journal\/archives\/12308\">Patti Cake$<\/a><\/em>) survives with her, then they rescue Paul (T.J. Miller of a <em>Transformers<\/em> movie) and meet up with the Captain (Vincent Cassel of <em><a href=\"\/journal\/archives\/376\">Eastern Promises<\/a><\/em>).  Together, they go through the motions of an underwater-horror movie, escaping from some underwater <em>Silent Hill<\/em> creatures that I am not buying and then their Leviathan momma.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/journal\/image20\/underwater2.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/journal\/image20\/underwater3.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Miller is good &#8211; I guess he was in the series <em>Silicon Valley<\/em>, which I skipped.  After watching Megan Fox in <em><a href=\"\/journal\/archives\/13872\">Jennifer&#8217;s Body<\/a><\/em>, maybe I should make a thing of it and watch other <em>Transformers<\/em> stars&#8217; horror movies&#8230; let&#8217;s see, Shia LaBeouf has <em>Disturbia<\/em> and Wahlberg&#8217;s got <em>The Happening<\/em>, I dunno.  Back to the plot: Rodrigo&#8217;s helmet was compromised so he implodes.  A <em>Game of Thrones<\/em> actress is in love with a <em><a href=\"\/journal\/archives\/12725\">Short Term 12<\/a><\/em> actor, giving us more people to root for, as loveless Stewart makes the Ultimate Sacrifice to destroy the monsters.
