Too bad, since it&#8217;s got great songs and the best puppetry, taking the characters into natural environments and action scenes and making you ask &#8220;how&#8217;d they do that&#8221; every few minutes.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<br \/>\n<strong><em>Race to Witch Mountain<\/em> (2009, Andy Fickman)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Rock pals around with a couple of misunderstood aliens, one of whom is the girl who helped out <a href=\"\/journal\/archives\/14810\">Mid-Sized Sedan<\/a> in <em><a href=\"\/journal\/archives\/17017\">Rebel Ridge<\/a><\/em>.  Semi-remake of a couple Disney movies from the director of <em><a href=\"\/journal\/archives\/16800\">Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry<\/a><\/em>.  The pd187 <a href=\"https:\/\/letterboxd.com\/pd187\/film\/race-to-witch-mountain\/\">writeup<\/a> of this is better (and possibly longer) than the movie.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<br \/>\n<strong><em>Looney Tunes: Back in Action<\/em> (2003, Joe Dante)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve <a href=\"\/journal\/archives\/2974\">seen this before<\/a>, great movie, nothing to add.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>K&#8217;s dad was in town.
