Still active in TV and movies, has been in a lot of stuff, incl. an Andr\u00e9 T\u00e9chin\u00e9 film.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/deeperintomovies.net\/journal\/images\/out1\/lili.jpg\" alt=\"img\" \/><br \/>\nLili leads the Thebes group.  She&#8217;s one of the 13, and used to be in Thomas&#8217;s group before she left and started her own using different techniques.<br \/>\n&#8211;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Quentin<\/strong> &#8211; Pierre Baillot, started out in William Klein&#8217;s famous 60&#8217;s movies, later in Rivette&#8217;s <em>Joan of Arc<\/em>.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/deeperintomovies.net\/journal\/images\/out1\/quentin.jpg\" alt=\"img\"><br \/>\nWins a million francs on a horse race, which is immediately stolen by Renaud.  At the end, when things start unravelling, he&#8217;s the only member of Lili&#8217;s group to join Thomas&#8217;s.<br \/>\n&#8211;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Marie<\/strong> &#8211; Hermine Karagheuz, played a nurse in <em><a href=\"\/journal\/archives\/194\">Secret Defense<\/a><\/em>, also in <em>Merry Go Round<\/em> and <em><a href=\"\/journal\/archives\/501\">Duelle<\/a><\/em>.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/deeperintomovies.net\/journal\/images\/out1\/marie.jpg\" alt=\"img\"><br \/>\nSent the letters to Colin?  So, a friend of Pierre?<br \/>\n&#8211;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nicolas<\/strong> &#8211; Marcel Bozonnet, also in Rivette&#8217;s <em><a href=\"\/journal\/archives\/3055\">Joan of Arc<\/a><\/em> and <em>Up Down Fragile<\/em>.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/deeperintomovies.net\/journal\/images\/out1\/nicolas.jpg\" alt=\"img\"><br \/>\nAKA Arsenal, Papa, Th\u00e9o, Yogurt and others.  I think each character calls him by a different name.  A real ladies&#8217; man.  These two things may be related.<br \/>\n&#8211;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Elaine<\/strong> &#8211; Karen Puig<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/deeperintomovies.net\/journal\/images\/out1\/elaine.jpg\" alt=\"img\"><br \/>\nThe one who tells Lucie when Lili runs off to Obade<br \/>\n&#8211;<\/p>\n<p><strong><\/p>\n<h1>Solo Artists:<\/h1>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Colin<\/strong> &#8211; Jean-Pierre Leaud, french new wave poster boy, one of my favorite actors, star of Truffaut&#8217;s Antoine Doinel series, also appeared in films by Jean-Luc Godard, Agnes Varda, Jean Cocteau, Luc Moullet, Catherine Breillat, Raoul Ruiz, Jean Eustache, Philippe Garrel, Aki Kaurism\u00e4ki, Olivier Assayas, Bernardo Bertolucci and Tsai Ming-Liang.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/deeperintomovies.net\/journal\/images\/out1\/colin1.jpg\" alt=\"img\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/deeperintomovies.net\/journal\/images\/out1\/colin2.jpg\" alt=\"img\"><br \/>\nColin is first credited as &#8220;the deaf-mute&#8221;.  Gets coded messages that lead him around the city trying to uncover the secret group of thirteen.  Falls for Pauline (Emilie) and hangs out at her shop.<br \/>\n&#8211;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Frederique<\/strong> &#8211; Juliet Berto also played Celine! Steals some letters between members of the 13 and tries to uncover the group and sell the letters.<br \/>\n&#8211;<\/p>\n<p><strong><\/p>\n<h1>Conspirators:<\/h1>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Emilie<\/strong> &#8211; Bulle Ogier, played Camille (the blonde ghost) in <em>Celine &#038; Julie<\/em>.  Starred in <em>Duelle<\/em>, <em><a href=\"\/journal\/archives\/359\">Gang of Four<\/a><\/em>, <em>Don&#8217;t Touch The Axe<\/em> and <em>L&#8217;Amour Fou<\/em>, also in <em>Discreet Charm<\/em> and <em>Irma Vep<\/em>.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/deeperintomovies.net\/journal\/images\/out1\/emilie.jpg\" alt=\"img\" \/><br \/>\nKnown as Pauline in Paris, has two kids by her lover Igor who has disappeared.  Runs a shop in Paris, where Colin meets her.  May own the house in Obade, too, so either she or Igor is wealthy.<br \/>\n&#8211;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sarah<\/strong> &#8211; Bernadette Lafont, an original nouvelle vague actress, starring in Truffaut&#8217;s <em>Les Mistons<\/em> and Chabrol&#8217;s <em>Les Bonnes Femmes<\/em> and <em>Le Beau Serge<\/em>.  Has been in a ton of things, incl. <em><a href=\"\/journal\/archives\/540\">Noroit<\/a><\/em>, Ruiz&#8217;s <em>Genealogies of a Crime<\/em>, Malle&#8217;s <em>Le Voleur<\/em>, and <em>The Mother and the Whore<\/em>.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/deeperintomovies.net\/journal\/images\/out1\/sarah.jpg\" alt=\"img\" \/><br \/>\nAn old friend of Thomas&#8217;s, her return to Paris leads eventually to the breakup of the Prometheus group, or at least the abandonment of the play.<br \/>\n&#8211;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Renaud<\/strong> &#8211; Alain Libolt, appeared in <em>Army of Shadows<\/em> and a few Eric Rohmer films.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/deeperintomovies.net\/journal\/images\/out1\/renaud.jpg\" alt=\"img\" \/><br \/>\nThe object of Honeymoon&#8217;s affection, ends up dating Frederique after stealing Quentin&#8217;s cash and fleeing the Thebes group.<br \/>\n&#8211;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lucie<\/strong> &#8211; Francoise Fabian, title role in <em><a href=\"\/journal\/archives\/521\">My Night at Maud&#8217;s<\/a><\/em> and the mother in <em>Secret Defense<\/em>, among many others.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/deeperintomovies.net\/journal\/images\/out1\/lucie.jpg\" alt=\"img\"><br \/>\nLawyer, friend of Lili, seems to know everyone.<br \/>\n&#8211;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Warok<\/strong> &#8211; Jean Bouise, in a ton of movies I haven&#8217;t heard of, plus <em><a href=\"\/journal\/archives\/602\">The War Is Over<\/a><\/em>, <em>Z<\/em>, and Joseph Losey&#8217;s <em>Mr. Klein<\/em>, which had a bunch of interesting actors in it.
