Best show I’ve seen.<\/p>\n

Taking suggestions for what to watch next. Current considerations include dramas Deadwood<\/em> and The Prisoner<\/em>, Wire-related dramas The Corner<\/em> and Homicide<\/em>, or an anthology show like Thriller<\/em> or Twilight Zone<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The actors, and where I might see ’em next:<\/p>\n

McNutty<\/strong> (Dominic West) I’ve seen in Richard III<\/em> and A Midsummer Night’s Dream<\/a><\/em>, next appearing in John Carter of Mars<\/em> and the TV show The Hour<\/em>.
\n<\/p>\n

Lester Freamon<\/strong> (Clarke Peters) – Treme<\/em> and The Corner<\/em>, also played Nelson Mandela in the movie Endgame<\/em>, and appeared in Neil Jordan’s Mona Lisa<\/em>. Sydnor<\/strong> (Corey Robinson) is from The Corner<\/em>.
\n<\/p>\n

The Bunk<\/strong> (Wendell Pierce) moved on to Treme<\/em>. Kima Greggs<\/strong> (Sonja Sohn) is in a new medical\/crime show, was in Scorsese’s Bringing Out The Dead<\/em>.
\n<\/p>\n

Herc<\/strong> (Domenick Lombardozzi) – Miami Vice<\/a><\/em>, Find Me Guilty<\/em> and a new crime show called Breakout Kings<\/em>. Carver<\/strong> (Seth Gilliam) – Oz<\/em> and Starship Troopers<\/em>.
\n<\/p>\n

Prez<\/strong> (Jim True-Frost) was Buzz in The Hudsucker Proxy<\/a><\/em>. I had no idea. Also in Affliction<\/em> and The Conspirator<\/em>, and making appearances in Treme<\/em>. Beadie<\/strong> (Amy Ryan) moved on to the American version of The Office<\/em> when not pulling oscar nominations for Gone Baby Gone<\/em>.
\n<\/p>\n

Marlo Stanfield<\/strong> (Jamie Hector) was just in Night Catches Us<\/em>, also in a season of Heroes<\/em>. Omar<\/strong> (Michael Kenneth Williams) was the thief whom Viggo left naked in The Road<\/a><\/em>, also in Gone Baby Gone<\/em> (which I’ve long wanted to watch) and Life During Wartime<\/em> (which I am suddenly desiring to watch)
\n<\/p>\n

Bubbles<\/strong> (Andre Royo) – recent movie Super<\/a><\/em>, upcoming Shoedog<\/em>. Cutty Wise<\/strong> (Chad Coleman) just appeared in The Green Hornet<\/em>.
\n<\/p>\n

Michael<\/strong> (Tristan Wilds) is in the 90210<\/em> series remake and the movie Half Nelson<\/em>. Dukie<\/strong> (Jermaine Crawford) is in the new movies by Joel Schumacher and Whit Stillman.
\n<\/p>\n

Clay Davis<\/strong> (Isiah Whitlock Jr.) I remember from 25th Hour<\/a><\/em> and She Hate Me<\/em>. Proposition Joe<\/strong> (Robert F. Chew) was in a few episodes of the other David Simon series.
\n<\/p>\n

Mayor Carcetti<\/strong> (Aidan Gillen) just starred in a British show called Identity<\/em>, previously starred in Queer as Folk<\/em>, and was the villain in Shanghai Knights<\/em>. Norman<\/strong> (Reg Cathey) I’ve seen in at least eight movies, including Pootie Tang<\/em> and The Machinist<\/em>.
\n<\/p>\n

City Editor Gus<\/strong> (Clark Johnson) was one of the four leads in Homicide<\/em>. Reporter Scott<\/strong> (Thomas McCarthy) directed The Station Agent<\/em> and co-wrote Up<\/a><\/em>! Also appeared in Year of the Dog<\/em>, Duplicity<\/a><\/em> and The Lovely Bones<\/a><\/em>, though I don’t remember him.
\n<\/p>\n

Chris<\/strong> (Gbenga Akinnagbe) was in the TV version of Barbershop<\/em>, also The Savages<\/a><\/em> and the Taking of Pelham<\/em> remake. Snoop<\/strong> (Felicia Pearson) was just in the news for being arrested on drug charges, but got a suspended sentence, yay.
\n<\/p>\n

Cedric Daniels<\/strong> (Lance Reddick) is starring in Fringe<\/em>, also appeared in Oz<\/em>. Rhonda<\/strong> (Deirdre Lovejoy) played somebody’s mom in Bad Teacher<\/em>.
\n<\/p>\n

Rawls<\/strong> (John Doman) is currently starring in a historical drama, was in Blue Valentine<\/em>, also that Bruce Campbell show and that Glenn Close show. Ex-Mayor Royce<\/strong> (Glynn Turman) was just in Super 8<\/a><\/em>, in the upcoming movie by Don Coscarelli<\/a> (!)
\n<\/p>\n

Bunny Colvin<\/strong> (Robert Wisdom) was in The Hawk Is Dying<\/em>, Masked & Anonymous<\/em> and Storytelling<\/em>. Commissioner Burrell (Frankie Faison) was in Do The Right Thing<\/a><\/em>, Mother Night<\/em>, My Blueberry Nights<\/a><\/em> and all four Hannibal Lecter movies.
