From one deliciously tense action scene to the next, it&#8217;s a million times more fun than <em><a href=\"\/journal\/archives\/7424\">Contagion<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>I recognized Davis Morse playing an inspirational madman and Peter Capaldi as a world health organization doctor (get it? WHO Doctor?). Pitt&#8217;s wife Mireille Enos stars on TV&#8217;s <em>The Killing Remake<\/em> and I think Daniella Kertesz played the short-haired Israeli soldier whose zombie-bitten hand Pitt severs. Between <em><a href=\"\/journal\/archives\/142\">Stranger Than Fiction<\/a><\/em> and this, Forster made <em>Machine Gun Preacher<\/em> (tough white guy saves African child soldiers), <em>The Kite Runner<\/em> and a James Bond flick. Supposedly based on the Max Brooks book, but I hear it&#8217;s not really. Credited writers include Matt &#8220;<em>Lions For Lambs<\/em>&#8221; Carnahan, J. &#8220;<em><a href=\"\/journal\/archives\/1116\">Changeling<\/a><\/em>&#8221; Straczynski, Damon &#8220;<em><a href=\"\/journal\/archives\/7752\">Prometheus<\/a><\/em>&#8221; Lindelof and Drew &#8220;<em><a href=\"\/journal\/archives\/7551\">Cabin in the Woods<\/a><\/em>&#8221; Goddard.
